Hello! I am Yolanda Kop and I was born in Alicante, into a family with diverse roots: daughter of a Dutch father and a mother who is half Spanish, half French. I am the eldest of four siblings and, from a very young age, reading has been my refuge and passion. They say at home that even before I could read, I loved flipping through newspapers and brochures, fascinated by the letters I didn’t yet understand but which, in some way, already called to me.
Over the years, that passion for words turned into writing. Although my academic path led me towards the sciences—biology and chemistry have always fascinated me—I never stopped writing. Literature has been my constant, the invisible thread that has connected every stage of my life.
Currently, I live in a small town in Seville with my family and balance my love for writing with teaching. I offer online classes in French and language, enjoying the opportunity to share the power of words with my students.
For me, writing is more than a profession: it is a way to connect with the world, to explore emotions, and to bring to life stories that deserve to be told. Like a sunrise that transforms darkness into light, writing allows me to integrate the earthly with the spiritual, turning each word into a bridge between both worlds.
